The collection originates in the changes technologies have wrought since 1998, the year Parker was born, with social media, augmented reality and virtual reality providing us with an ‘Esc.’ from reality. Full of endless possibilities and glitches as it rubs against the ‘real’ world, technology allows us to live our lives through a screen, distorting our sense of reality and manipulating our perspective.
