2 Metres Apart

‘2 Metres Apart’ is a project by Storm Meakin, focusing on illustrations of human behaviour throughout the UK lockdown of November 2020. Intense queuing has become a very normal aspect of life, due to the social distancing measures in shops, as the public are required to stand two metres apart and wear masks.

This project is a documentation of people waiting to purchase groceries outside supermarkets across Sheffield. In the final work, Meakin combined her observational pencil sketches into one long queue in photoshop, to reflect the commonality of this unusual experience.
