Emily Barker’s web project Fulfil is an exploration into the effects that instant access to products has on human psychology and our ecology.
Recent years have seen an huge increase into demand for instantaneous everything, with delivery services like Just Eat and Amazon Prime catering for appetites for rapid delivery and instant consumer gratification. Barker asks:
“How does instant access in the form of next day delivery positively and negatively effect us? How is this effecting our communication and negotiation skills? Does having instant access to almost everything alter our expectations and perception of time and acquisition of products?”
