A visual representation of traumatic flashbacks and the after effects of mental illness. The artist, Cassán Branagan, captures still life with monochrome photography to explore this. This photography incorporates the darker side of the beauty and elegance of the gothic subculture and portrays what lies behind the makeup and fashion to the raw human beneath it. This work documents the realities of mental illness after treatment and the intensity fades to dullness.
