Jackie Leaver is a practice-based PhD researcher who uses a framework of feminist spatial practice, ethics of care and acts of hospitality to explore the home as an evolving, intimate landscape, foregrounding lived experience and embodied knowledge. Working from within her own domestic space, she documents the interior through drawing, photographing, projecting, mapping and constructing with materials to hand. The extended timescale of a part-time PhD allows the impact of changing personal circumstances and turbulent global shifts to seep into her work, highlighting the layered accumulation of time and inevitable transitions that shape and reshape domestic life.
