An exhibition of prints and drawings about Food Works Sheffield – the social enterprise salvaging hundreds of tonnes of unused food.
Joanna Rucklidge has been working as an artist in residence at Food Works, engaging with their staff, volunteers, warehouse, cafés, farm and the food itself! The resulting body of prints, drawings, sketches and text, express observations and visual experiments, aiming to attract attention and greater understanding of the project. In creating artwork, conscientious resource choices have been key; making inks from food compost, using recycled, second-hand and organic materials where possible.
Limited edition prints will be for sale, all profits being donated to developing a new market area in Food Works Sharrow café.
