Foundations is a display of work by all the students who have completed their Foundation Year in Art and Design at Sheffield Hallam University.  Students represent eight different degree routes:

Fine Art

Illustration

Interior Architecture Design

Graphic Design

Product Design

The work displayed will be outputs from an 8-week project inspired by Jules Vernes’ novel Around the World in 80 Days. You’ll also get a snap-shot of what happens during the rest of the Foundation Year.  The Foundation Year is often a route to access Higher Education which might not have been possible otherwise.  It provides a supportive, immersive experience for students to build confidence, orientate themselves and develop an understanding of art and design within Higher Education, specifically at Sheffield Hallam University.
