Sheffield Hallam University’s MA Fine Art graduates present a show spanning film, textiles, sculpture, painting, ceramics and installation.

Featuring John Dalton, Tamara Donaldson, Renate Fekete, Jakob Johnson, Florence Mulvey, Grace Ranford and Heath Waters.

The show contains audio-visual art, film and sound work that uses glitch and synthetic textures, to explore the instability of digital systems, treating rupture as a place where new possibilities emerge.

Textile and print-based work threading history, heritage and culture through fabrics and patterns drawn from across Africa and the Caribbean, tracing routes from Indonesian batik to tartan are woven through.

The show contains expanded drawing and painting that spills from the wall onto the floor and rises into light-filled, sculptural forms. Graphite and print create hazy landscapes caught as something built from memory and layered in colour.
Elsewhere, the exhibition features new ceramic work that brings the physicality of clay, glaze and fire into dialogue with painting, and sculpture rooted in the traditions of the readymade, using everyday objects to question ideas of class, taste and value, and a series of playful yellow paper mountains.
