Iterations is a new exhibition by architects Tony Broomhead and Nicky Kirk, celebrating 20 years of working together. The show features videos, audio pieces, and images of public art installations, all focused on the themes of repetition and collective endeavour.
The exhibition explores the evolution of ideas and designs through Broomhead and Kirk’s iterative collaboration and includes a collection of early sketches and models that reveal the creative process behind their projects. Visitors will see how creativity begins with a rough doodle or simple model, showing that even complex designs have humble beginnings.
The show will feature video and audio footage from APERTURA Broomhead and Kirk’s latest collaborative project with sound artists Ed Carter, an interactive sonic sculpture at Hadrian’s Wall commissioned by Northumberland County Council to celebrate the 1900th anniversary of the wall being built.
