Aiyi Zhang is a BA Jewellery, Material and Design graduate at Sheffield Hallam University, originally from Guangzhou, China. Her work is intentionally formed through the understanding of materials and investigating upon substance. She originally trained to write fantasy literature in 2008 but is now exploring the subject of jewellery as her new aspiration. Her work is award-winning, achieving the Sheffield Assay Office Graduation Prize 2020 and the Arts Society Bursary 2020, after being commissioned to make a silver vessel for Sheffield’s Millennium Gallery.
