Elizabeth Morgan is a Sheffield-based oil painter whose practice is an enquiry exploring how to capture the nuances and emotional complexities of fleeting, mundane moments in her life as a young woman. Motivated by her fascination of societal and artistic portrayals of the female experience, Morgan aims to cultivate an immersive, tender perspective on her personal experiences by utilising self-portraiture. The sensitive themes portrayed in Morgan’s paintings contrast the public and critical spaces in which they are typically displayed.
Recent exhibitions include ‘802’ at Yorkshire Artspace, Sheffield and ‘Future Now Festival of Creativity’ at Head Post Office Studios, Sheffield.
