Toby Chan is a designer from Sheffield who, after studying civil engineering and architecture for a year, quickly realised the course lacked excitement and creativity. He switched to study Product Design at Sheffield Hallam and during his 3 years at university studying design, Chan has developed a large variety of skills, from sketches and renders to technical CAD/CAM software.
Chan’s plans after university are to complete a master’s in design engineering at Loughborough University. Along with this, he will be gaining work experience in a new prosthetic start-up, STEPS prosthetics, based in Sheffield.
