Tom Simms spent his placement year at Urban Cottage Industries and CP Media. At Urban Cottage Industries he designed and implemented a lighting storage and packaging system that reduced waste for the company, as well as produced a user-friendly operational manual for the Zund Machine. The second half of his placement was spent at CP Media as a freelance Junior Graphic Designer. Here, he created indoor and outdoor advertisement for different Councils and Airports across the United Kingdom. He also designed work for companies such as Nike, Amazon Prime, Coca Cola, Sky Bet, Visit Jersey and many more.
