Yaz Leigh’s time on the Fine Art Degree has been transformative. She feels that she’s had space to indulge her creativity and grow in confidence and aspiration. Attending a local university quietly encouraged Yaz to tap into her upbringing with the benefit of strengthening the core values within her art practice. Tutors and technicians have been invaluable in my learning of the art world both professionally and creatively. And this extends to the access to equipment and facilities on offer here. It feels a safe space to test the boundaries of what Yaz is capable of. Her long-term plans are to balance being an artist with creative, local community work to gift forwards the skills she’s learned.
