Ylenia Lucera is an English- Italian artist based in South Yorkshire. Her current work is based around her personal experience as a patient receiving treatment for endometriosis and how the poor quality of medical investigation affected her mentally.

Creating a painting and sculptural series, Ylenia draws on the manifestation of the idyllic care she wished to have received, exploring the integration of her personality within a clinical environment in retaliation to feeling like nothing more than a number.
