A Seeing Object is a culmination of filmmaking efforts since last November, focusing on the idea of inviting the viewer to engage with three short films by becoming a ‘seeing object’ themselves. The three films are displayed on a screen hidden from view and only visible on the viewfinder of a wooden plate camera, with headphones for sound. Tommy Spence-Arnold invites the viewer to join these anthropomorphic seeing objects in their story and to think about what it means to observe the world around them, as a seeing object.
