This animation project is deeply personal, as it reflects my journey of connection, growth, and the enduring bond between generations. Though Polish-born, the tale unfolds broadly across Eastern Europe, drawing on the collective experiences of my family and friends throughout the region. Inspired by childhood memories of growing up in a simple Polish family, I was surrounded by resilience, tenderness and quiet strength, much like the characters in my story. It’s my way of honouring those intimate moments—the simple rhythms of life—and something I hope to one day pass on to my children if I have them. This project allows me to merge my passion for storytelling, illustration, and hand-drawn aesthetics into a piece that feels both universal and uniquely mine. It’s a love letter to roots, nature, and shared wisdom.
