Acton’s The Man living inside of me came into fruition during her second year, taking influence from Cindy Sherman and Juno Calypso. Focused on how to refine her skills, Acton created a character for her to explore social and political issues affecting women. Scrutinising the lives of young adulthood and the isolating effects of the beauty industry subjugated by the male gaze.
