Dannielle Naylor is a silversmith and toolmaker who is interested in the intersections of identity, making, and presentation. They find humans tend to construct identities with the objects we wear and surround ourselves with, and they like to explore how the materiality of these objects can offer a deeper narrative. Naylor’s process is tactile and informed by the physical properties of the materials, and how they respond to different traditional and non-traditional techniques, leading to work that is craft-led, narrative, and exploratory.
