Evie Pernet is an Illustrator inspired by a curiosity of human narratives, sequential imagery and storytelling. She aims to breathe life into unadorned and overlooked narratives. Through extensive research and observation, Pernet unpacks language and narratives from poetry, history and current events. She conveys these stories through the lens of an atmospheric, energetic and organic visual language.

Pernet experiments with slow mediums, wool, printmaking and stop motion animation. The variety of materials helps to reflect the nuances of her characters. In her graduation project, she combined her research and emotive storytelling skills to illustrate a children’s book about a moving town in Sweden.
