Jodie Burns is an Interior Architecture and Design Graduate with a strong interest in heritage and church design. She enjoys exploring concepts, utilising her high organisation and planning skills and looking at how a building will be used in day-to-day practice.
For her placement year, she started her own business with the Enterprise Placement Scheme, learning how an interior design business is run, leading to growing knowledge in the business sector. Hence, her projects, particularly the Grain, the Blossom, and the Vine, have a focus on how a business would run in detail before moving to the design, collaborating with a Graphic Design student to flesh out branding, wayfinding, notice boards and even timetables. Essentially, she can come up with a concept from scratch and develop this into a ‘ready to go’ business.
