Laura Kingston

meet the artist – LAURA KINGSTON
Laura Kingston explores feminism in today’s society, tackling subjects like rape culture and assault through a traditionally feminine visual language of bright colours, florals and figuration.
She uses a range of art practices such as painting, lino prints and animations to give women’s voices more agency and fight the stigma that surrounds women’s self-expression. Kingston's larger scale work is unapologetic about taking up space and heavily inspired by the punk era and revolutionary art movements like the Guerrilla Girls.
