Whilst an undergraduate biology student, Leslye Qin Zhang began to find her inspiration in jewellery design. She says “I want to be a contemporary/fashion jewellery designer – no boundary of art or commercial. I want to design something with a different and unique visual language. My target audience is intellectual women in the new era.”

Zhang is based in Shanghai and (having completed her postgraduate study at Sheffield Hallam University) hopes to start her journey as an independent designer there.
