Ioana Sandu is a 22 year old Romanian fine art photographer passionate about exploring
the subtleties of human existence. They have been living in the UK for the past 7 years,
and they hope to complete a Master’s degree qualification next year. Their work engages
themes such as the complexity of identity, navigating trauma through creation and the
appreciation of imperfection.

As a conceptual photographer, Ioana wants to create layers of meaning within their
work. Their photographs are deeply personal, exploring various elements of the human
experience, such as the pressures the human body is subjected to by society, embracing
their ethnicity, and healing.

Ioana explores life through creation, and hopes to evoke emotion in the viewer through
their work.
