How the light shines in
‘When chaos shadows life, peace can feel uneasy.
When eyes get used to darkness, light can be blinding.
When I was younger, I wrote a letter to my future self.
This is a reply.
This is a story about healing.
These are fleeting moments of gratitude for the sun and its warmth
These are tales of a journey that, eventually, led me to loving myself.
This is how the light shines in.
It shines in through sheer curtains,
And it reflects in the eyes of others.
Light shines in through the clouds,
Bringing back to life the colours.
In the end, it shone from within.
