Magnolia

Magnolia is a series of images which explores the mundane but often familiar aspects of student living. The project title, referring to the colour of the walls in most rentals, paints an image of the banal and everyday throughout the captured moments. The sequence of images guides the viewer around a new yet familiar environment for those who have experienced living somewhere temporary. This body of work acknowledges the traces of the person living in the space, although it lacks personality, it is instantly recognisable. Magnolia celebrates the details of everyday life that as a society we overlook.
