Nathan Wilson
The framework underpinning Nathan’s work is the concept that our bodies are not simply a biological structure, but something continuously shaped by culture, technology and social behaviour. With his work he displays the physical effects of modern sedentary life and raises awareness on the separation we’ve developed from nature. Nathan is primarily a painter but has created a series of plaster, wool and wire sculptures for the degree show, with key elements of his work surrounding identity, mutation and what it means to be human. Using abstract figures he explores our place in the world and the environment around us.
