Olivia Coupe’s practice is rooted in an appreciation for the natural world. Since the beginning of her creative journey, she has drawn on personal memories of time spent outdoors. Her work explores how wildlife and flora act as symbols of past experiences. Through repeat pattern, she translates these moments into visual forms, such as wallpaper, to evoke a sense of nostalgia and comfort, inviting viewers to reflect on their own memories. Alongside this, she is currently investigating both handmade and machine-made processes within her work, exploring what draws her to each approach.
