During the course, Samiya Sultan learnt principles of fashion design including drawing designs, pattern drafting and understanding fabrics, colours and textures. It encouraged her creativity and thinking outside the box. Sultan has gained hands-on experience in creating and constructing apparel, including the use of sewing machine, draping and fitting garments and other technical skills. She has also developed a series of portfolios showcasing her design skills and fashion projects that will help her in her future career.

Sultan plans to gain relevant experience through internships in fashion houses, apparel companies, fashion marketing agencies or related organisations. Then she would like to take on individual projects, like creating garments, and build a strong portfolio that showcases her skills and creative talent. Additionally, she hopes to attend fashion shows and events to network with other fashion professionals and stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices.
