Thomas J Mills’ uses speculative fiction to explore world-building in a visual arts practice which includes sculpture and painting. He interrogates themes of the observation of consciousness presented in narrative dramatic narrative forms looking at growths and consequences of metaphorical society’s and characters. The climate emergency, interconnectedness with the natural world, environmental change are key themes in which Mills returns to. Mills’ has exhibited at galleries including Trafalgar Warehouse and Bloc Projects. He is currently mentored by Damon Jackson-Waldock, Deputy Curator, at Yorkshire Sculpture
Park.
