Thomas J Mills‘ approach is one of world-building with the interest of the applications in speculative fiction. His practice includes sculpture and painting, which explore themes of the observation of consciousness presented in dramatic narrative forms, looking at growths and consequences of metaphorical societies and characters. Investigating the climate emergency, interconnectedness with the natural world and environmental change are key themes to which Mills returns. In 2019, Mills has successfully exhibited his works widely across Sheffield, including shows at Trafalgar Warehouse and Bloc Projects.
