In the 3-5 years after graduating, Xinyi Chen expects to be working in a company and during that time, Chen hopes to gain more experience and knowledge of the jewellery market. In order to open her own studio afterwards, Chen needs to gain a lot of experience and knowledge, because it’s not only about design, there is a lot to learn about the business side of things. During the postgraduate course, the biggest thing that helped Chen was the logical thinking skills, and the perspective of things during the design process. Chen thinks the change in thinking has been the most surprising, as it has helped her not only in her studies and work, but also in all aspects of her life.
