Sammy Gibson recently completed a year’s placement at Concorde BGW. Working within the industry enhanced her creativity skills, working on live projects and clients. Tight deadlines meant that time management and organisation skills improved massively as well as teamwork and communication skills through assisting other designers and meeting with reps on a weekly basis. Through placement, Gibson also gained the skill of working on AutoCAD, picking this up quickly, proving that she is a fast learner and keen to learn new things.
Gibson has completed many projects during her time at Sheffield Hallam University, gaining essential skills for working within the Interior Design industry. She has developed her drawing and CAD skills in Vectorworks, SketchUp, InDesign and Photoshop.
