Wenqing Fan has found the MFA Jewellery and Metalwork course challenging but enjoyable, designing projects that require a lot of time and effort to complete from concept to completion. Fan’s metalworking skills have increased as a result of completing their project. Fan also learnt new talents during this time, such as metal crochet and photo-etching. In the future, Fan will employ critical thinking to better their designs in the future and aims to apply for a doctoral degree in the following six months while continuing the MFA course. While majoring in jewellery design, Fan is excited to have the opportunity to teach in a college setting.
