Home is a place for a family to enjoy together; a collection of things people love in their lives; and a household sharing unconditional love and support. ‘Toy Boxes’ is a collection of playful jewellery that encourages people to engage with their families in the home. The boxes are fun for all members of the family to play with, at the same time as other family members might use them to decorate their body or the home environment. 

There are six different sets, all made with precious metal, and all created with different techniques such as laser welding, soldering and lost wax casting. Just like each home, every set is unique – and just like every community, they can be used in combination with each other, to ‘play’ together. The pieces are suitable for different ages and genders. ‘Toy Boxes’ was awarded the Goldsmiths’ Precious Metal Grant 2019.
