Urban rules emphasise social order and norms to safeguard people’s lives and property, but they can also weaken an individual’s sense of boundaries and belonging. On the other hand, nomadic rules emphasise harmony between people and nature, providing individuals with a stronger sense of identity and belonging to their natural environment and community. However, they can also pose a challenge to an individual’s security.
The collection created by Freya is inspired by nomadic tents, combining off-cut materials with traditional metal materials in its design. By incorporating soft leather and hard metal, the collection expresses both disorder and order, merging the two states into one. It explores the realm of matter and the external world, as well as physical awareness of existence and self-consciousness.
