Botania

Botania is a game where everyone is a wealthy, Victorian plant enthusiast searching the wilderness for exotic, impressive and rare flora for their collection. They compete with others to curate the most prestigious botanical display and only the rarest and most impressive plants will do.

The game, designed and illustrated by Solomon Cook, combines the experience of a standard playing card game with a delicate, hand-printed, arts and crafts style aesthetic. The inspiration for the game comes from the botanical gardens (with the name originating from the words “Botanical” and “Mania”), the Victorian era, the work of William Morris, Kate Greenaway, and the sentiment of craftsmanship from the arts and crafts movement.
