Protect Me?

Danqiao Wang has designed a range of jewellery inspired by the protective role our skeletons have. Unconventional materials are used to explore and understand the fragility and strength of our bones. She says:

As living beings on earth, our bodies are filled with treasure. Bones. They are protection and support for our bodies, but the bones themselves are also protected by layers of skin and flesh, though these are fragile and easily cut or bruised. So, are our bones fragile or strong? Can they be brought outside of the body as jewellery?”
