The Poor Fetish is a short publication by Kalon Mitchell‘ exploring appropriation of working class experience as a consumer commodity, especially within the fashion industry.

Ripped from its original contexts and altered in a way that acceptable to the middle class, this experience gains economic value whilst doing little to address ingrained inequalities and unequal social outcomes experienced by working class communities.
