Yi Liu has used a dynamic geometric language,  to convey invisible motivations: expressing the variability of people’s personality through jewellery. Inspired by Friedrich Becker’s dynamic jewellery Liu uses the characteristics of geometric shapes to extend and merge into different movable forms. Here statement eyewear is designed with radial and spring-like movable elements, showing and amplifying emotions and increasing confidence. Other pieces make associations with images that can inspire motivation, such as the rocket that carries infinite energy when worn on the large arm; the gears that are earrings that keep on running in their trajectory; and the future signposts that are worn on the finger to guide us when we are lost.
