“How can biophilic elements be used to design an office space post Covid-19?”
Shanmathi Subramaniam has responded to the challenges of office working in a post Covid-19 world with a biophilic collaborative workspace. Modelled on an existing space in Kozhikode, India and informed by her own research, the Biophilic Office Design contains a rich range of work spaces aiming to facilitate new ways of post-pandemic safe working.

Plants, natural lighting and an open kitchen lend ambience to the café

Natural wood panels a give a beautiful look and also act as sound absorbers
Conference Room 2
A spacious boardroom setting with a long and wide window which allows sunlight to pass through and also gives beautiful view of the outside environment - a key biophilic principle.
Group Pods
Cork acoustic material gives these spaces an appealing texture helping motivate groups of up to six people

An informal group space with decoration inspired by the sea and sand

Sound proof individual work pods

A moss wall and leaf textured wall paper emphasise the connection to nature
