In this interior and architectural design, Junjian Wang follows the concept of ‘less is more’, applying it to space design, material selection, color matching and functional design. The exquisite design and simple layout of minimalism made Wang not pursue complicated forms and decoration. Instead, Wang expressed architectural intentions with concise and powerful design language as much as possible which can help people better understand and use the space. Small amounts of high-quality materials such as wood, stone and cement can provide better texture and touch, whilst reducing the building’s impact on the environment.
Implementing ‘less is more’ in this design, Wang has tried to make the seemingly empty design rich in connotation and reasonableness; to use blank space to express the key points of the design as much as possible; to show the tonality of the design; to create a visual; and to feel comfort.
