Lucy Phillips created Let’s Talk About It in response to the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) ‘All Being Well’ brief. How might we improve future generations’ well-being? By starting from the bottom up! If we improve communication between new parents, love will follow. Healthy relationships modelled by parents have a massive positive impact on their children.
The card game was made for new parents. Allowing them the space to talk about their thoughts and feelings post-birth. 60 handwritten conversation starter cards form the basis of the game. The cards cover a variety of thought-provoking topics. From finances to upbringing and future goals. The User Guide features a ‘How to Play’ selection as well as ‘Tips’ and ‘Additional Support’ for users to access if they feel the need.
The game is played once a week for a year. This allows users time between gameplay to think, reconsider and acknowledge. Both their own feelings and those of their partners.
