Olivia Harding’s Retrospect is a collection of research interviews and photography that explain the importance of our memories and how they can affect the career we choose and who we become in our future. The project involves filmed interviews and a printed publication, all telling different stories. The publication is an in-depth look at her research regarding memories and our past, as well as an investigation into the past of a variety of artists.

Olivia Harding is committed to the need for change – politics, climate change, homelessness, equality and racism. Her work embraces the the psychology of each project she tackles and uses bold shapes, colours, sharp edges and crisp design whilst recognising that sometimes mess and chaos they need to be used together in order to create the perfect design.

“I naturally gravitate towards scribbling ideas and type on pen and paper and then transfer them digitally. I love the textures of paints on paper and the swirling effect that ink makes when you drop it into water. Photography and film are my first loves and I always look to bring them into my work. Meshing together both digital and analogue methods to see what madness can be constructed.”
