Andy Gale
Andrew’s practice includes mixed media painting, drawing, printmaking and artists’ books. His work is inspired by the natural environment, exploring the landscape, and people in the landscape. He runs workshops and undertakes commissions. He curates at the Foxlowe Arts Centre in Leek, with colleagues, Lynda Pritchard and Julie Holmes in the Drawing Room Cafe art space. Andrew has exhibited in the UK and USA. In Manchester, he collaborated with fellow academics, engineers, artists and industry experts to develop postgraduate education in conceptual design for combined groups of fine art and engineering students. He holds a foundation degree, with distinction, in Creative Art and Design Practice, from the University of Derby and continued his undergraduate education in Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University.
