Andy Gale holds a BA in Fine Art (Sheffield Hallam University) and a Foundation Degree in Creative Art and Design Practice (University of Derby). He worked internationally, in industry and higher education and now practices as a fine artist, curating Foxlowe Arts Centre’s Drawing Room Café wall, exhibiting in the UK and USA and running workshops. Gale’s practice covers a variety of media: printmaking, drawing and mixed media painting. He is inspired by the landscape – its layers and traces made by human and non-human species and natural phenomena. Walking is an important aspect of his practice.
