A Little Book of Happiness

Georgia Taylor discovered the benefits of nature for mental health during the pandemic, and created a way to bring the outdoors in. She found uplifting nature poems online and combined them with her lino printed illustrations. The result of this project was a publication called ‘A Little Book of Happiness’, a positive resource for people to turn to when they feel down.

In My Four Walls and Me Taylor references mental health again, using blue tones to reflect sadness and loneliness. This work visualises the routine of lockdown – the monotony of living the same day over and over again. Taylor captures this experience through her reportage style illustrations, which show repetitive views from the windows inside her house.

Taylor’s graduation projects are also inspired by her other interests, including film and music. Her T-shirt design and campaign against deforestation in the Amazon rainforest is a notable piece that demonstrates her passion for wildlife and conservation.
