Holly Hu’s latest work continues her research into dreams. Working with an audience, Hu gradually focussed her study into repeated dreams. Hu collected one of her recurring dreams and designed jewellery based on it, and then selected a recurring dream from her own dream stories to create narrative jewellery as well.

Hu believes a recurrent dream is a form that comes into being due to a specific kind of emotion. Similar experiences or emotions trigger the recurrence of these dreams, while different life experiences at different periods, new objects, events, and emotions can change the framework of the recurrent dream. This is why in every recurrent dream it is common for there to be iconic scenes and plots, along with some changes in the content elements.
