Ego to Eco is a project by Tabatha Hardy about how we imagine, experience and interpret nature. She used digital illustration, clay and acrylic paint to produce a character design sheet and a 3D sculpture of her character, Stump Boy. The work highlights Hardy’s relationship with the natural world and the influence it has on her illustrations.

The second piece of artwork displayed is a needle punch Tree Rug made with yarn and monkscloth. Created as a part of a self-written project called ‘process art’, the illustrations focused on the process of making, rather than the end result. The pattern of this attractive home décor piece represents the intricate textures of tree bark and brings nature into the home.
