Little Rat, Big City is a playful silent book, based on the misadventures of an ambitious rat with aspirations of fame. Adam Grant-Smith wrote and illustrated the piece, which aims to provide the same sense of adventure Grant-Smith found in the books he read throughout his youth.
Grant-Smith also created a competition entry for the New-Blood Awards by DNAD, based on giffgaff’s new recycling initiative. This short TV animation is bright and attention grabbing, with elements of humour. The piece informs the audience of the initiative, while keeping the tone light and fun.
Quarantine Postcard Project shows an unfiltered view into the life of a student locked in Sheffield, amidst the monotony of the pandemic. Humour and feelings of frustration connect each Illustrated card. This project encompassed seven weeks, with each day capturing a new perspective.
