In today’s fast-paced society, individuals are constantly in motion, always seeking what lies ahead and where their next destination will be. They actively search for hidden gems throughout the United Kingdom, relying on public transportation to transport them there. Within the context of the project brief, Pangani’s objective was to revitalize the Sheffield Interchange into an appealing and functional space for public use. However, considering the nature of her project, she opted to place greater emphasis on the coaches that utilize the interchange, leading her to envision a complete transformation into the Sheffield Coach Station.
Pangani’s project revolves around the concept of creating a hidden gem of a station, catering to the needs of travelers. She meticulously examined the essential requirements one may have while journeying and explored how to incorporate them into her design. Recognizing the significance of not just functionality but also aesthetic appeal, she endeavored to make the station visually captivating and engaging for both locals and visitors exploring Sheffield and its surroundings.
